3 more days!

3 more days till school starts...whoopee! Sorry we have been absent for so long but life has been getting in the way. We have secured our CDL permits and passed our physicals and start school on Monday the 8th. Irene claims she did better on her permit test, but for some reason I have seen no proof of that. We are really excited about class beginning and getting behind the wheel to gain some experience...Irene is nervous about shifting and backing...I told her not to sweat the small stuff...LOL

We have talked to a few companies and have our sights set on one in particular but we will wait till the time comes before we jump. Just want to make sure we have all our ducks in a row and that we are comparing apples to apples with each company. Of course we have a little 4 legged side kick that will accompany us in our travels so that will need to be put in the equation also.

We will be moving our 2 daughters into college on the 20th...thank goodness for training to distract mom from falling to pieces now that the nest will be empty...we can't wait to hit the road...mom is going to need it!

The Plan

Our plan is for the both of us to get our CDL licenses and team drive across the country.  Hopefully we will hook up with a reputable company who will treat us right as we will give them our dedication, dependability and professionalism.  We are hoping to start our class on August 8^th.  The big question is…am I really going to be able to drive a big tractor trailer?
